Our story.

The station opened in 1878 and served the town and surrounding goldfields district for well over a century. When the last stationmaster left, a small group of locals — artists, makers and long-time residents — formed a vision to bring the building back to life as a place where art, community and conversation could meet.

Today Raillery Hub is home to a year-round program of contemporary art exhibitions in the main gallery, workshops and classes in The Creative Space, artist talks, pop-up events and a small store championing the work of regional makers.

We are an incorporated association run by volunteers, and every dollar made through venue hire, artwork sales and the shop goes back into keeping the doors open and the program alive.

Exhibitions

A curated program of new exhibitions in the main gallery, most running 4–6 weeks. We show painting, photography, ceramics, textiles and mixed media by established and emerging regional artists.

The Creative Space

A flexible workshop and events room available for hire by community groups, artists, tutors and local organisations. We also run our own year-round workshop program for adults and kids.

The Shop

A small curated store showcasing ceramics, prints, jewellery, cards and books by Central Victorian makers. Perfect for a thoughtful gift — or something for yourself.
